$100 laptops for kids everywhere!

I'll believe it when I see it. Even $100 laptops need to be paid for, and costs on any project tend to grow beyond original budgets...but the plan is to give away 150 million of them!

It will be 500mhz, extremely sturdy, 1 minute of hand-cranking gets 10 minutes of power, runs on Linux, and wireless enabled. My son would love one!

One down, two dozen to go!

Teeth that is. I experimented with not going to the dentist for 20 years - okay I was poor and scared so not really an experiment - and instead of the dozens of fillings I got as a kid, all I suffer now is one rotten tooth.

The needle was nowhere as bad as I expected, and the pulling out of my nearest top molar took all of 30 seconds and there wasn't one iota of pain!

The next couple of days of washing my mouth with salt water and chewing on one side is a hassle, and the no alcohol rule really sucks, but all rather trivial really!

I could easily go through this once a month without fear or concern - except that I'd run out of teeth in a couple of years,,,

We can read messed up words!

When I was a kid, I refused to wear my glasses at school, and sat at the bak of the class with the other cool kids. Although I could not read individual characters on the blackboard, I could often make out words based on their shape and size.

I love this - simple and direct evidence of a theory. Read this, because you can!
