Big Brother will know where you're at...

What's the world coming to? In the UK you can now find out the location of any mobile phone for 20p (with the phone user's permission). Which means that you can expect an "anti-terrorism" law to be passed that allows the powers-that-be to do the same, without your permission.

The service is at MapFinder

Vaccines: More dangerous than you know

It takes a lot of convincing, because all good parents try to keep their kids healthy, and they follow the advice of doctors.

If everyone stopped taking vaccines, then those diseases could kill millions again. BUT! If just a few clever cookies save their kids from the dangers of vaccines, then all will still be okay.

FACT:

Although health officials tell you that polio has been wiped out in the US since 1979, they often fail to mention that all recorded cases of polio since that time are actually caused by the polio vaccine.

More info can be found in a big article at New Dawn

I, for one, will be keeping my children as vaccine free as possible, and I will fight any laws that force my children to have them. If and when I have children...

The incomplete lyricist...

Still staring at the seat that you were sitting on
Thinking of the things that I was thinking of
Just waiting here
With another beer...

I'm actually in a good mood, so I don't know where that came from.

Afternoon thunderstorm, no hangover, getting shit done, then a few quiet beers and watch the All Blacks annihilate the French.

Bush: Doing the Hitler, 70 years later

Someone very clever chap has written a story about Hitler, terrorists, patriotism and global domination in such a way that you'd swear he was writing about Bush.

History never repeats? Balderdash!

When Democracy Failed:The Warnings of History, by Thom Hartmann

Quote:

February 27, 2003, was the 70th anniversary of Dutch terrorist Marinus van der Lubbe's successful firebombing of the German Parliament (Reichstag) building, the terrorist act that catapulted Hitler to legitimacy and reshaped the German constitution. By the time of his successful and brief action to seize Austria, in which almost no German blood was shed, Hitler was the most beloved and popular leader in the history of his nation.

I checked out a few of the facts, and it seems to be an honest article.

Also doing the rounds is this article:
Five Israelis Were Seen Filming As Jet Liners Ploughed Into The Twin Towers On September 11, 2001

Repeatedly we are told that the Israelis knew of the attack before it happened. Yet if you read the story carefully, they were seen filming after the attack. Not too different from hundreds of Americans with camcorders would have been doing. Rense is a manipulative chappy. Always treat his spin with as much caution as you would the Fox News channel.

Da Zign!

I guess it is safe to mention this, seeing as no-one has ever been here...

I spent lots of time in NZ walking around, pondering the universe, and I got stuck on an idea that I could not shake - that we live in a simulation. Obviously, even prior to The Matrix, this is not a new idea. What is new is that I intend to try and prove it.

It could be that this is a game, and the winner is the first person to prove that it is just a game. If winning means the game gets turned off, apologies in advance...

So I was wandering through a bit of bush where the road ends on the West Coast, a spot that only gets a handful of tourists each day, and I got to thinking that we are in a game for betting purposes, and that some being was betting on me, and that the rules allow him/her/it to tweak my experience a little, within certain guidelines.

I got thinking about UFOs and religious experiences, and I started yelling out "Hey, I know this is just a game, there is no-one around, so give me a sign". There was no-one within a kilometre, so yelling was okay....

"Come on you bastards, give me a sign, I don't care what it is, just make it obvious!". "A UFO would be great, because that would mean they are just a trick played on characters within our silly game...", and then I got back to admiring nature and breathing again.

Back at the car, I had forgotten my diatribe, and was busy thinking times and distances and places to sleep, when I saw the licence plate of the only other tourist car, parked next to mine:

Da Zign

Just how Arnie would say it. Thirty minutes later I picked up a young backpacker couple who had just started hitchhiking from a spot where they would normally wait for days - and they were Austrian.

I don't believe it. The car had real owners, and had I questioned them, almost certainly a very real connection to the real world, and the plate would have had some meaning to them, and would've been registered a long time ago... I'm just relating how spun-out I was for just a little while, and the seriousness of my mission.

Since I have been home I have purchased a domain name for future use: WeAreNotReal.com

Lies! Lies! Lies!

USAF Colonel (Ret.) Sam Gardiner has compiled a 56-page report detailing more than 50 stories about the Iraq war that were faked by government propaganda artists in a covert campaign to "market" the military invasion of Iraq.

One or two could just be errors, but 50 is a campaign of disinformation. Hurry up election day.
