There goes millions (sigh)
This is what happens when I go out 4 nights in a row - play pool at Revolver, play pool at the George, dance at the Market, dance at the Sunset Strip, hang out with beautiful women, and merry men, take mood Enhancers, copious amounts of alcohol, sing to myself in parks, lose pub trivia valiantly, consume Kill Bill, win on the Caulfield Cup, do some PI work, walk home in early daylight, neglect to eat, and whatever else. The result: I catch a cold and give away a patentable method that's either worth millions or nothing: My spam solution.

Will electronic vote rigging get Bush re-elected?
When I see the mess the USA is in, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I have just read a very scary article: The 2004 Election Has Already Been Rigged
It claims that Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, who won despite lagging in the polls, is an owner and former CEO of the company that counts the votes electronically - Election Systems & Software. The problem with electronic voting is that there is no paper trail. And we know that most politicians will cheat if they think they can get away with it.
"Two Republican dominated corporations, Election Systems & Software (ES&S), and Diebold Voting Systems, now control 80% of the vote count in the United States. As this transition has taken place, a pattern of election upsets which overwhelmingly favor Republican candidates is emerging... The Neocons have determined that elections can be manipulated easily with the new touch screen voting systems and when accompanied by a media pounding of lies the public will accept the rigged election results as fact... When a voter touches the screen to select a candidate there is no confirmation that the machine has actually registered the correct selection. In the old punch-card and fill-in-the-circle paper systems, voters could see their choice marked on the ballot. In the event of any confusion or question, a record of the vote existed and a recount was possible.... Attempts to examine the code used by the machines in Florida were blocked in the courts by the GOP citing, "proprietary/trade secrecy" protections under a law, which made it impossible for the DNC to ascertain how the machines tabulated votes."

Europe Adulterated
Just climbed the Franz Josef glacier drunk, and didn't pay the $100 for the guided walk. And had an idea of pure genius. I'm gonna write a book entitled "Europe Adulterated". The top 100 tourist spots, all done under the influence of something. This will have to wait for the end of the world book to be written, and will precede the one that proves we live in a computer simulation.
Cool coincidences a-happening. Buying books in Wellington, looking for an excuse to talk to the women behind the counter, a book worth buying, see one by my former screenwriting tutor Bill Green. Have never seen his books anywhere, libraries or shops... So I buy "Freud and the Nazis go Surfing", and a few other books during the day.
Am rummaging through them last night, deciding on which to read, and choose Bill's book. Read the quotes on the first page and one is about "Baa Baa Black Sheep". Well, this is occuring in a hostel called the Black Sheep, and I get very drunk later in their bar, which is spelled Baa...
And where my old computer shop in Queen St Auckland used to be, there is a clothing store called Bast! (for the uninitiated, that's the name I use for my doomsday writings)
