Non-Governmental E-Voting (a free* idea)

The technology exists for registered voters to vote on important issues all the time, via internet referendums. But no government will do it, because such a level of true democracy would be too scary for them.

But there's nothing stopping a non-governmental organization from doing it!

• Run a few full-page newspaper ads
• Get people to sign-up with a unique credit card (charge them $1) and email address - that should be enough to stop people voting more than once
• Every week or two, email everyone with a topical referendum, including links to information on the subject from all viewpoints
• Present the results to the media

If you got 1 million voters enrolled, the government would have to listen!
